| m., the Park Ridge Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on Terrace Street for a reported structure fire.
Upon arrival, the Park Ridge Police Department confirmed a fire within the home’s attached garage and verified that all residents had safely evacuated. The Park Ridge Fire Department initiated fire suppression operations, bringing the fire under control by 12:13 a.m.
The Park Ridge Fire Department was assisted by fire departments from Montvale, Woodcliff Lake, River Vale, Hillsdale, Emerson, Old Tappan, Saddle River, and Pearl River (NY), who provided both assistance on-scene and station coverage during the incident.
“The presence of working smoke detectors quickly alerted the residents to the fire in their home,” said Park Ridge Fire Chief Richard Bosi. “This early detection and notification aided the fire department in keeping the fire contained to the garage and small area of the basement.”
At this time, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
