The Park Ridge Fire Prevention bureau is currently under the directions of Fire Official John Hansen.  The Bureau is staffed with five part time fire inspectors and one part time fire official.

The Bureau is charged with inspecting all life hazard facilities in the boro and maintaining a record of all inspections.  The members of the bureau are also routinely called upon assist the department with problem calls and hazards located during fire emergencies.

The Fire Prevention Bureau also plays an integral role in fire education in the community.  Each October the Bureau coordinates visitations with each kindergarten and pre-kindergarten class in the boro to promote fire safety.
